Build strength. Move with confidence. Live with more freedom.
PERSONAL ONLINE movement, STRENGTH & fitness COACHING
Movement is more than exercise. It is the freedom to live life with energy and vitality.
Personal, adaptive online coaching for people who want to feel stronger, move with more confidence and feel more at home in their body; whether they are already active, returning to movement, or starting for the first time.
Your body is the most extraordinary machine you will ever own.
Your body is adaptable, responsive and capable of change throughout life. Strength can be built at any age. Movement can improve. Fitness, mobility and balance can all be developed, whatever your starting point.
I want to help people understand just how remarkable the human body is, and what positive change is possible when we give it the right kind of challenge, support and care.
I believe exercise and movement should help you feel more capable, more connected to your body and more confident in everyday life. It is not about chasing perfection. It is about discovering what your body can do, while building energy, resilience and confidence.

Listen to your body, but do not underestimate it.
Your body deserves to be challenged intelligently, not held back. And you do not need to treat it as fragile.
You need a way of moving that respects the body you have today while helping it become stronger for tomorrow. With thoughtful, consistent coaching, you may be capable of far more than you currently believe.
Care for the body you have now; what you do for your body today is a gift to your future self.
Personal means personal, not a generic programme with your name placed at the top.
I begin by understanding you: your health, movement history, energy, concerns and the things you want your body to allow you to keep doing. I watch how you move, listen to what you tell me and adapt your training as your body and confidence evolve.
Some days we may work purposefully on strength, or cardio fitness. On others, we may adjust the intensity, focus on mobility and control, or use Pilates-informed movement, breathing or Tai Chi.
Adaptation is not failure. It is intelligent coaching.
What we can work towards
Training towards an event, challenge or personal milestone
Rebuilding confidence after pain, illness, injury or time away.
Reducing body fat while building strength & muscle
Using movement & breath to support nervous system regulation
Improving strength and performance for the sports you enjoy
Achieving a personal goal that once felt out of reach.
Moving with greater balance, mobility, and control
Developing greater independence and trust in your own body.
Measure success by how you move, and how you feel in your body & mind; not just by what the scales say.

Hello, I’m Rosy.
For me, movement is a gift!
I wasn't a sporty child. I was painfully shy, self-conscious and uncomfortable in my body, and it's been a long journey to get to where I am today. Dancing was always my first love, and in my mid 30s after leaving my role with United Airlines and relocating to the South West, I started teaching Belly Dancing classes in the evenings at a fitness club where I worked as front of house . Later came the gym, spinning and running. I loved the beauty and simplicity of running through quiet countryside on cold winter mornings. After completing a couple of half marathons, I completed the London Marathon in my mid 40s. I was slow, but I did it!
A short while later (and after many changes in profession!), I qualified as a personal trainer and spinning instructor, but my health began to change, and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. That forced me to rethink how I trained. I learned that the body responds not just to hard work, but also to balance, recovery, mobility, flexibility, hydration, good nutrition and nervous system care.
Today after years of coaching many wonderful clients, I am still amazed by what the human body can do. I teach Body Pump, Pilates, Body Balance, boxing fitness and spinning classes, and despite pain and fatigue, I feel so incredibly grateful that my body still allows me to do the work I love.
My experience is a huge part of why I coach the way I do.

I am constantly inspired by my clients, and they have taught me so much. Over the years I have seen just how differently people respond to exercise. What works brilliantly for one person, may not be right for another. Watching clients adapt, progress and surprise themsleves has reinforced my belief that coaching should always be personal.
Sometimes the right type of training may be strength, power or cardio focused. At other times it may be mobility, breathing, T'ai Chi or slower movement to help the nervous system settle.
My role is to understand the person in front of me, adapt the approach where needed, and help them feel strong, capable, energised, happy and at home in their body
What clients say
“The wonderful Rosy has been my super-duper PT for the past eight years. She makes our half-hour sessions, three times a week, so enjoyable and varied; one minute I’m on the Swiss ball performing mermaids and the next, pike presses! For cardiovascular exercise, I particularly enjoy our boxing sessions.
Rosy is so caring and passionate about my training, adapting my sessions around sports injuries and illness, including cancer. My breathing, and particularly my asthma, is so much better thanks to her introduction of Tai Chi.
I have introduced several friends to Rosy because I wanted them to share in her expertise and enthusiasm. I highly recommend her for her wealth of knowledge, care and expertise.”
Nina Hawkins, 76, Exmouth
"Rosy has been coming to me for quite a few years now. For someone who has osteoporosis, she has strengthened my back and done wonders for my neck, and general physique, tailoring my exercises specifically to support/strengthen my muscles to protect my bones. She is warm, encouraging and has great empathy. And I couldn't do without her".
Mary, Lympstone
"Every Monday, Rosy brings a tailored exercise plan, and all the kit for a full on workout in my kitchen. The sessions are focused and challenging which is exactly what I asked for. I decided to invest in my health and fitness in my 60th year and working with Rosy, I have seen measurable improvements in strength and body shape. I can highly recommend Rosy as a personal trainer. She is warm, encouraging, good fun and a stickler for technique and progression".
Catherine, Exmouth
"Rosy has transformed my fitness and well-being through motivating, personalised and professional training. As a result I have achieved life long fitness goals, and grown is self confidence. I highly recommend Rosy for support with personal coaching and building self belief".

Questions you may have
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. We begin with the body, energy and confidence you have now. Coaching is adapted from there.
What equipment will I need?
We can begin with simple, accessible equipment and build only where useful. I will explain what is appropriate for your programme.
What if I have pain, an injury or a health condition?
Tell me about it in your enquiry. I will stay within my professional scope and may ask you to seek medical or clinical guidance before coaching begins.
Is the coaching suitable for men as well as women?
Yes. I coach women and men in midlife and beyond. Some parts of my work speak specifically to perimenopause, but the wider coaching is not women-only.
Is online coaching effective?
Yes, when it is personal, well observed and supported by consistent practice. I coach live, watch how you move and adapt the work to you.
Your body may be asking for a different approach; not for you to give up on it.
Complete the short enquiry form and tell me what you would like help with. I review every enquiry personally. If it seems that I may be a good fit, I may offer you a free 20-minute mutual-fit conversation so we can ask questions and decide whether to work together. There is no pressure.
